St John's Wood is a district in the City of Westminster, North west London, lying about 2.5 miles northwest of Charing Cross and west of Regent's Park. This wealthy neighbourhood in the heart of London has a tranquil village like feel, about it.
With an eccentric mix of architecture, the elegant villa style housing that sweeps along the side of Regent’s Park, and an attractive high street filled with boutiques. St John’s Wood offers an oasis of tranquillity away from the bustle of the Capital. It has some picturesque walks such as Little Venice, a charming canal-side gem to the west, the stunning rose gardens and outdoor sports areas of Regent’s Park on its doorstep, and some gorgeous views from the nearby park Primrose Hill.

The area is best known for the home to English cricket, Lord's cricket ground a venue for domestic and international matches, which lies at the centre of the neighbourhood. It is also home to the world-renowned London Zoo, Abbey Road Music Studio as well as the world-famous zebra crossing, that featured on the Beatles album.

With the benefit of excellent transport links, it is just short trip in and out of Central London. St John’s Wood underground is on the Jubilee line in zone 2, while the overground line station is South Hampstead. Overland services from nearby Paddington and Marylebone stations provide links with Heathrow, Birmingham, Bristol, the West Country and Wales.
